Melissa's story

Melissa's story

We have an (almost) two year old son, his first birthday trip to tower bridge was one of the last “normal” things we did before lockdown in March. We moved from London to the Cotswolds in the summer so it’s been an interesting time!

Living during a pandemic is tough enough, but being a mother adds an additional level of complexity to an already stressful situation. Finding ways to keep your children busy has always been a challenge, but with schools and nurseries closing made it a full time job. Plus, all the other stresses of life: job, partner, chores, coming up with dinner ideas for the 4000th time (thank goodness for Pinterest!) it is truly overwhelming.

I am thankful for having a community of fellow mums to share our successes and failures— we are not alone and should never feel that we are!
