New Product Alert: Mum & You Floosh! Moist Toilet Tissue!

What is Floosh?

We are delighted to introduce the newest member of our Mum & You range. Floosh! wipes are moist toilet tissues designed for use in the bathroom instead of toilet paper to ensure a thorough, gentle clean for your most sensitive bits.

Why did we create Floosh!?

We asked Emma Mullan, our Senior Innovation Manager, how we came about creating Floosh!

"As a team of mostly Mums, there’s always been a lot of ‘toilet chat’ around at Mum & You. During the course of our (often very frank & hilarious) discussions, we came to realise how imperfect rolls of toilet paper actually are. Picture the scene – you’ve just sat down – if you’re lucky it’s with a cup of tea, and you hear the call ‘Mummy ……’. From the tone of that call you just know you’re needed upstairs to wipe someone’s bum! It’s just one of the many less-than-glamorous tasks we unknowingly sign up for as mums! 

It really got us thinking  - there must be a better way. Why do we persist in using this stuff that’s dry, a bit scratchy, doesn’t really get us clean, and it is so hard for our kids to unroll & use that they end up using way too much.  

It’s why we came up with Mum & You Floosh!. It’s a soft and gentle moist toilet tissue which is as mild on the skin as our baby wipes and really does get you & your family clean after a trip to the loo."

What does Fine to Flush mean?

Mum & You Floosh! moist toilet tissue has been designed to break down when you flush it and is certified as Fine to Flush by Water UK.

The Fine to Flush accreditation is a major development in the fight against fatbergs. It's an industry-standard developed by Water UK called Water Industry Specification (WIS) 4-02-06, and it identifies which wet wipes can be flushed down toilets safely.

It ensures that Floosh! can go down the drain and round the U bend without getting stuck or blocking sewers. The accreditation also ensures that the wipes disintegrate just like toilet paper as well as ensuring the wipes are 100% plastic-free, so they won't break down into microplastics or pollute our oceans & beaches.

How do I correctly dispose of them?

To ensure responsible use and ensure the wipes are 100% flushable, it's important you only flush one Floosh! wipe at a time on a full toilet flush, and avoid use with macerator toilets and septic tanks.

Remember: Not all wet wipes can be flushed down the toilet. Only those clearly marked with the 'Fine to Flush' logo are safe to flush.
