Toddler Hopscotch

Toddler Hopscotch

One way to help your toddler burn off some energy whilst introducing them to numbers.

Use some chalk and make a hopscotch grid outside or duct tape can be used inside on a rainy day. Number the squares from one to ten.

Pick a small pebble which can be placed on a number to avoid.

Encourage your little one to jump with 2 feet together from one square to the next, avoiding with the square with the pebble. He will be able to do this independently long before he can hop.

When he has mastered 1-10, try counting back down 10-1.
