Place 4 objects on a tray, encourage you child describe each object and what makes them memorable. Is this one bigger or smaller than the others? How are they the same and how are they different?. Now cover the tray with a box (a M&Y one would be perfect!) so that your child cannot see which object you will remove.

As you reveal the tray again ask your child identify which object is missing. If your child is uncertain, give prompts and talk about the similarities and difference that you discussed before. If your little one cannot remember which one is missing, simply uncover the object and giggle together about the surprise.

Switch roles. Have fun and guess incorrectly so that your child can correct you!
