Tips for Taking Your Baby Swimming:

  1. Plan Ahead: Packing ahead can save you from the rush. Have nappies, wipes, and a couple of dry towels within easy reach for quick changes. Many parents swear by setting up the changing area before getting in the pool, so you’re ready to go as soon as swim time is over. If your baby is older nappy pants are quicker to change them into after swimming.
  2. Keep Your Baby Warm: Babies can get cold quickly. Consider a baby wetsuit if the water temperature is cooler. And for after swimming have a cosy towel or hooded robe ready to wrap them up immediately as soon as you get out (we suggest you keep it by the poolside) and have a second dry one in the changing room to dry them off.
  3. Quick-Dry Techniques: Hooded towels work wonders to keep their heads warm, and baby ponchos or robes can help absorb water quickly. You could also use one for yourself to keep you warm while you get your baby ready first.
